In my opinion, the content quality is the most important aspect of an AI writer, and the quality discrepancy here makes it the most important factor when comparing Jasper VS Rytr.
This next factor may not matter to you, or it could be a dealbreaker.
Team collaboration
Another major biggest difference between these tools is the team collaboration functionality.
Jasper allows up to 5 team members on most of its plans, and it has a Google Docs-like interface where team members can edit and share their work.
Rytr, on the other hand, only allows one user per plan. This makes it cost more for large teams, and more importantly, it hampers the ability of team members to share documents and work together since they all have their own accounts.
If you are working alone, then this won’t affect you, but Rytr’s restrictions on collaborative accounts will greatly hamper the productivity of a team.
When it comes to creating content with these tools, the editor experience differs little, but it’s worth reviewing since it’s such an important part of the tools.

As you can see, the left sidebar is used to give the AI some direction, and the content is output on the right side in a full editor.
The way it works is pretty cool. You can use keyboard shortcuts to generate outlines and sections of the text based on the current article section. While the emphasis on keyboard shortcuts makes Jasper a little harder to pick up, it becomes second nature with some practice.
Rytr, again, works in a similar fashion.
The biggest difference is that Rytr works based on the text that you highlight, and it has both a toolbar and keyboard shortcuts.
In my opinion, Jasper would be nicer if it had a toolbar like Rytr, which makes it easier to learn.
In practice, using these tools involves a similar process of generating text, editing, generating more, and so on. The time the app takes to generate more text is similar as well (about 5 seconds).
While the editors are a hugely important part of the experience, I wouldn’t say that either one is superior to the other. I think Jasper is visually more appealing, but that’s much less important than the functionality or how it feels to use.
Pricing
When it comes to pricing, Rytr is more affordable than Jasper, with pricing that starts at just $9/month.
The Saver plan is enough to use Rytr occasionally, but if you use it every day, you’ll need the Unlimited plan, which is also affordable at $29/month.
Jasper’s pricing starts at $29/month, and this includes the short-form editor only.
If you want the long-form article editor, pricing starts at $59/month for 50,000 words.
